External Affairs and Liaison Services

This is Takeshi Nishikawa Administrative Scrivener Office, specializing in application proxy administrative scrivener services.

For foreign nationals to live, work, or study in Japan, they must meet the requirements stipulated by the relevant laws.

The law that governs the entry and residence of foreign nationals in Japan is called the "Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act" (commonly abbreviated as the "Immigration Act"). The office responsible for processing these application procedures is the "Immigration Services Agency".
"The Nagoya Regional Immigration Services Agency" has jurisdiction over the prefectures of Aichi, Mie, Shizuoka, Gifu, Fukui, Toyama, and Ishikawa.

Additionally, administrative scriveners specially designated by the Immigration Services Agency to act on behalf of clients in application procedures related to the entry and residence of foreign nationals in Japan are referred to as "Application Proxy Administrative Scriveners".

Main Services in This Area

Application Procedure for the Issuance of a Certificate of Eligibility

This is the procedure for inviting foreign spouses, family members, and prospective employees. The document certifies the nature of activities to be conducted in Japan and is issued by the Ministry of Justice. It applies to foreign nationals who plan to stay in Japan for a medium to long term.

Application for Permission to Change Residence Status

This is a procedure for changing your residence status due to employment or marriage to a Japanese national as an international student. It is important to apply for a change of residence status as soon as possible, as engaging in activities under your new status before receiving permission will be considered a violation.

Application for Permission to Extend Period of Stay

This is the procedure for extending periods of stay, such as 5 years, 3 years, 1 year, or 3 months.

Application for Permanent Residence Permission

This is the procedure for those who wish to reside permanently in Japan while retaining their foreign nationality.

Naturalization Permit Application

A naturalization permit application is the process by which a foreign national renounces their original nationality and acquires Japanese nationality. Once naturalization is approved, the individual becomes a Japanese citizen. As a result, restrictions applicable to permanent residents, such as re-entry procedures and residence card renewals, no longer apply. Furthermore, naturalized individuals gain the full rights of Japanese citizens, including the right to vote and other privileges inherently granted to Japanese nationals.

Application for a Japan Entry Visa

This is the visa application procedure for "short-term stays", such as for business purposes or visiting relatives.

In addition, we handle procedures such as permission for activities outside the scope of your residence status, re-entry permits, issuance of work qualification certificates, and acquisition of residence status.
